"It is with great honor to highlight and praise Mrs. Fernandez and the Etiquette program she leads for our high-risk adolescent boys and girls who needed intrinsic intervention.

 

​Mrs. Fernandez is an outstanding role model who taught our students how to manage and control their conflicts with grace, respect, and reason. She was a positive influence and mother-figure that helped our school gain one more community member to change our student’s outlook and commitment to their education and life. ​

 

Our school offers positive and negative points that are a part of our PBIS system to positively reward or correct the negative behavior. We offer an incentive for those who behave appropriately and restorative justice measures to correct the negative behavior. She is a lethal weapon to make use of our restorative justice program at our school and she has been able to help our students decrease their negative points and turn them into positive points by the students being on time, turning in their work, being respectful to adults and wearing the proper uniform. ​

 

Mrs. Fernandez is always prepared, on-time for her classes, and ready to make our students realize their full potential with rewards. She has clear boundaries and worked with their teachers to determine progress reports and alternative measures that needed to be implemented. She was very flexible in her approach, always willing to seek positive reflective tactics to utilize change and bring forth positivity to our students.

 

Mrs. Fernandez is a true asset to our school and it’s a real privilege having her a part of our family of schools day in and day out." ​
